grandprix.com  > FIA announces future F1 plans

The FIA have gone ahead and announced that all Formula One teams will either have severe restriction or go for a new £40m budget cap.

The teams are shifting uncomforatably in their luxury seats as the penny pinching begins.

Refuelling, tyre blankets and P. Diddy will be banned from next season.

This will possibly lead to 26 cars on next years grid.

    Sooooo….

Brabham try refuelling and it’s banned as dangerous and unnecessary. Max brings it back for ferrari who had the thirstiest engine… and now he scraps it again.
We have kers… which Mclaren had ten years ago and Max immediately banned it, now he’s reintroduced it.
We have slicks again… which he previously scrapped against all opposition.
We have multi-lap qualifying again, which he scrapped and ruined F1 for years by doing so.
We have cars with fancy diffusers that make it hard to overtake… even though he said he was scrapping all the aero to make it easier to over take.
(And he said Kers would make it easier to overtake… and in fact means you can drive a snow-plough with Kers and nobody can get past you)

What exactly does he do but make work for himself? will his legacy be that he left F1 exactly as he found it, after years of pissing around with it like it was his own private dollshouse?
