2009.9 - british grand prix
Was it the last British Grand Prix at Silverstone? We all hope not, though maybe Donnington might have a bit better racing.
Kevin and Terry talk about the political highs and lows of the current state of F1, including jakey-wakey breaking mucky max and EJ almost breaking Bernie.
yet again they totally forgot to mention who won the race, but you all bloody know that already

Hi guys,
Thought I’d let you know how I got on, and tell you about a few thing you wouldn’t have seen on the TV! A good (if somewhat chilly) weekend was had by all our group at Silverstone, the campsite was good, we were serenaded daily by airhorns, loud music and some campers who even bought their own karaoke machine, usually doing a very bad rendition of Tom Jones’ Delilah until the early hours, and driven nuts by the guys opposite who appeared to possess only one CD which they played continuously, at high volume, on their car stereo. Although we felt we had the last laugh when they had to call the RAC out on Monday morning for a flat battery. I have to agree the race was a bit dull, so at one point I thought it would be safe to risk it, and left my trackside seat to make my own pitstop, only to find on my return that I had missed the Kovy/Bourdais shunt, arguably the ‘highlight’ of the race. Typical.
The Grand Prix Party afterwards was well worth going to as always, to see the drivers (quite a few this year!) and gave the crowd the opportunity to reveal their feelings about the current situation within the sport (cue lots of booing, hissing and shouts of Bernie and Max are wankers) Then there was the usual set from EJ’s band (quite good actually) before Lewis came on with his girlfriend in tow, which caused a mixed reaction from the crowd as I heard someone behind me shout ‘your girlfriend’s a man!’. I didn’t know what to make of this, but on asking my bloke for his opinion, he said he agreed and doesn’t find her attractive at all, but quite odd looking…your thoughts? Anyway, I digress; after appearances from Jenson (made my day!) Rubens, Ross Brawn, Christian Horner and both of the Red Bull and Williams drivers to name but a few, the Counterfeit Stones came on. At this point we decided to head back to camp, as I for one had no desire to witness a bunch of forty-something, overweight men in bad costumes murder Stones tracks. So it seemed did about 1000 other people! We left with smiles on our faces and the promise (probably) that we would all return next year. Here’s hoping!
Lots of love, Natalie
