2011 Preseason Podcast Preview
It’s the annual Preseason preview, this year mainly apologising for stuff we have done, flame wars we have accidentally started and countries we have pissed off.
We try to get information from the baffling results of the pre-season testing and we also look forward to the first Grand Prix, wherever that may be.
McLaren’s 2011 titles hopes have been invigorated with the launch of their new MP4 slash some number car in Berlin.
In a launch that looked more like a bad T-Mobile advert (sorry Vodafone) members of the public who were also actors brought in bits of the car to a shopping centre in Berlin where it was agonisingly put together by four awkward looking mechanics.
Then the actual launch began with Lewis and Jenson both standing (awkwardly) listening to a man in a long grey coat speak German as McLaren increasingly try to distance themselves from their Mercedes partnership and focus on their British driver lineup- oh.
The car itself looks a bit as through someone nudged the designer and his pen slipped. The sidepods are a funny shape and like the Williams and other cars this year the backend seems to actually not exist, suggesting that they are using some kind of parallel universe design to shed weight.
The rumoured all black livery has stayed as same as before silver and the front wing is just silly.
I love it.

anotherf1podcast 2010 Highlights
We have gone through nearly ten whole hours of 2010 anotherf1podcasts and taken out all the non-funny bits – this leaves 32 minutes and 39 seconds of comedy gold in the form of the 2010 highlights.
Reminisce as we slag off James Allen categorising us as fans, get nostalgic for when the F-duct was new and exciting, well up in misty-eyed regret as we take the piss out of the elderly Stirling Moss and generally give Mark Webber a hard time.

Vettel cries like a baby, Liuzzi nearly whacks Schumacher in the face with a tyre, Lewis Hamilton joins twitter and the 2010 season comes to a close.
The title is nearly decided, Kevin and Terry got up early to watch no quali and then Terry spent far too long watching 9/11 conspiracy videos to notice Kubica’s wheel flying off, Di Grassi bottling it, Hamilton losing it and Alonso’s engineer being terrified.
Oh, and again we fail to mention things like who won and that. It was (SPOILER!) Vettel.
Alonso returns home and Kevin and Terry revert to the familiar homely feeling of calling him the c-word. Webber is homesick and takes a trip down under, Alonso’s engineer is the most italian person ever and did Hamilton slow or speed up?
The most exciting qualification of the year balanced out by one of the duller races. Terry was in the air and Kevin on his sofa as the Japanese Grand Prix trudded along making it look more and more like Button might do a 2007 Hamilton and not a 2008 one.
The novelty of the night race has worn off and Kevin and Terry are sick of people complaining about how tired they are. Terry in fact seems sick of everything and calls a lot of people nasty words.
Hamilton wins the race, is Button going to be a worthy champion? Will Terry be a worth fantasy F1 champion, can Martin Whitmarsh tell a lie?
Lewis Hamilton keeps pushing, you can’t fault him for that, apart from when he totally fucks it up.
The Italian Grand Prix has a nostalgic early 2009 feel about it; the Brawn’s are at the top, Webber is being unlucky and the Piquet family are threatening to kneecap some people.
And Sebastian Vettel is SO funny
Still bad sound quality, but Terry and Kevin get to discuss Rubens hamming it up, whitmarsh talking nonsense and a jim’ll fix it letter or two…
